Yeah i would take a mach over a cobra any day too. Besides an eaton used cobra blower off the internet would fit right on there and they sell for like $500. Then you've got a cobra without the pesky 6-speed or IRS. (things ppl love about the cobra that i hate.)

Sorry to jump into your post, but I have a quick question about Mach 1's I've been wanting to know for a while know. This could be some good info for you as well if you ever think about adding a S/C. ... I know that Mach 1's have the same motor as the 03'-04' Cobra, but without the S/C obviously. And the Cobra has some forged internals (can't remember what parts exactly). My question is: Does the Mach 1 also have those forged internals just as the cobra does? ...Anyone know..?

Becuase in a 6-speed you have to shift too much. Shifting is down time in the world of racing. Its great for gas mileage but not for racing. For put the 6-speed in the cobra as a selling point. 6 is more than 5 so it must be better right? Powerglide FTW! lol Im just not a big fan of IRS. Atleast not Ford's IRS. They have good aftermarket IRS systems but a GT with a full coilover kit and full suspension mods will kill a cobra in handling in every aspect.

If they are a manual then they have a fordged crank, and they have a higher compression ratio than the 03-04 cobra engines would have if u took off the super charger.
