I just had my king cobra installed today, and it feels more than 2 times less pedal effort than the previous king cobra clutch, which I found to be very odd. Maybe the older one wasn't installed properly which wouldn't surprise me because the shop found out that the old rear main seal was installed improperly and had to be replaced. Either that or my firewall adjuster has something to do with having less pedal effort? Who knows, but it feels pretty good except I have to get used to driving with this new clutch. It grabs almost as soon as I let the pedal out, as opposed to before where it grabbed 1 inch from almost being all the way up. Well, so much for buying the same clutch kit to have the same pedal feel.

i know many people with 4.10s on their s/c stangs and i also know quite a few with 3.73s. I'd say go with 3.73s if you are 5spd and 4.10s when you are auto for s/c applications =D
+1. If you get 4.10's you're gonna be shifting every.00005 seconds. Go with 3.90's at most.

I have 4.10's and the frequency of shifting is not as bad as people think.

Eh yeah its not that bad for me too but the more power you make the faster that redline is gonna come. If you're making 500+ to the wheels (lets just say hypethetically) than its gonna be shift shift shift all the time.

If you're making 500+ horsepower, not only do you need a stronger clutch kit than the king cobra, but you also need stronger transmission and axles. The king cobra is good for probably up to 400hp max.

Give it 1-2 months. Mine feels like stock. Takes a while to break it in.

How many miles did it take to break in completely? I'm keeping track with a trip meter, but damn it's going to feel like forever not being able to get on it and shift hard

Oh also, after I got the king cobra put in, the shop mechanic showed me the back of the old king cobra pressure plate and it had all these little burn marks on it. He called them "hotspots" and said you will get those if you drive like hell. But I mean, who has a mustang GT and doesn't drive it hard once in a while? Is there any way I can prevent those hotspots from forming on the disc such as letting it break in a certain way or certain time?
