Default to those who have a king cobra clutch...

how is that ford say that it requires 10% less pedal effort? i don't get... I just got the clutch installed and it's stiff like a rock. =p But it does feel nice and grabs like crazy. =D I do a lot of city driving and when I left the shop today I could already feel my left foot being tired =P

mmm.. do the king's come in different stages likethe specs? b/c i want to change my clutch as well, but i dont want it to be rock solid lol..

id say give it some time.. youll get used to it, plus wear it in a little bit..

when you mean hard like how hard and is it worth it? notice a difference in smoother shifts? any diff. with the flywheel?

I think they do but I'm not sure. I just got the HD King Cobra clutch from Ford Racing. The clutch definitely gives you the racer feeling just like when you have a short shifter. The pedal is very crisp. The grabbing action is unbelievable in comparison to the stock clutch. Shifts are smoother =D So all in all, I think it was worth it. =D

Welcome to the jungle. Ive had my King Cobra for over a year and it still makes my knee ach after a long city drive or a night of cruising. but the cool thing is this clutch is indestructable! Me and my buddy (03 coupe with full bolt ons) raced from dead stop but in 4th gear just screwing around. It took alot of clutch and his clutch was smooookkkiiingggggg but mine didnt even smell. It was great lol.

i know many people with 4.10s on their s/c stangs and i also know quite a few with 3.73s. I'd say go with 3.73s if you are 5spd and 4.10s when you are auto for s/c applications =D

+1. If you get 4.10's you're gonna be shifting every.00005 seconds. Go with 3.90's at most.

My shop called me on my cell 20 minutes after I picked it up and wanted to get my reaction to their work on my project. Surprisingly, my favorite part was the King Cobra clutch. The SC was awesome obviosly but the clutch made the most noticeable impression during my break-in period. I didn't think the King Cobra was much stiffer than stock but the engagement provided a lot of feedback and it grabbed like a mf'er. 4 months of use and it still feels as good as new. I don't think the pedal is too stiff and rush hour tires my leg out just like it did with the stock clutch. Sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic long enough will tire most clutch legs out eventually.

not mine, like 20 min into rush our, im done haha. all this valet is killin

anyhow, the cobra clutch def. sounds like a goodsetup, are you using a hookquadrant? firewall adjuster? or new clutch cables? there just seems so much into buying a clutch- if you want it supreme in our scenarios. what do you hear of SPEC?

I thought there was two different king cobra clutches the non heavy duty and the heavy duty and the heavy duty uses 10% less pedal effort
