every s2000 i saw at the track was broke d%^k. the three i have seen, all broke their rear ends.

thanks for the replys people. I think the s2000 electronically limits between 147-150mph from the sites i have been on, but i guess ive heard they are terrible until they get moving. So terrible they cant break the wheels at launch, maybe the new 2.2 can but im not to sure. Anyways i can be happy to say I love the stang

Modified, of course. first thing you're going to blow up with high rpm launches is going to be the clutch and tires.

the s2k and all honda's are limited to 147 mph ( even chipped ones) I have a hatchback with an integra type r motor 210- 225 hp and 160 or so ftlbs. It runs high 13's stock. S2k stock runs about 14.7 with better gears usually about 14.2 and the best n/a ones usually a little quicker than me. they have bad rears (they are built for handling not dragstrip) My pops just got a new 2003 showroom floor convertable last month. He wants it to be faster than me, I run 8.8 in the 8th @ 86 mph. He is looking at chips ect what do ya think he should start at?

the funny part was they didn't even make it to the line... don't ask me why they were doing burnouts, but two of them broke doing a burnout...

tell your dad to supercharge the s2000.....thats makes if a freaking awesome car!!!!!!!! The torque of the line makes all the difference.

Haha, this brings me back. I actually had a guy argue with me when I had my LT1 about how my car was so slow b/c I could only rev it so high....I was like, yes, it sucks making all my power at 3k rpms....anways, carry on.
