Default MIL Eliminators

Got on o/r midpipe (MAC), looking for MIL's for it, it seems like there are two kinds:
1) Real plug-in replacements like these:
http://www.mustangtuning.com/stmilel.html

2) A spliced device like these:
http://motors.search.ebay.com/MIL-El...tegorymapZ6000

The 2nd kind is $10, and the first is $60. I'd rather spend that $50 somewhere else, but are those second kinds reliable or even effective? They look almost homemade, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience with using those? I certainly dont want to F anything up in my OBD.

The 2nd one you speak of are home made.

IMO, I'd go with the $60 dollar MIL Eliminators.

I believe Monty put on some homemade MIL's a while back. You may want to ask him how it went.

I got the BBK plug-in eliminators from Summit Racing. They work fine, no problems, and they just plug in, so it's easy to remove them if you have to smog and put your catted H-pipe back on.
