Default Fuel Filter Removal

Whats the best way to remove the Fuel Filter? I already took off all the tighteners all I have to do is remove the hoses from the filter but its really stuck in there and the more I try and tug at it the more the hoses move and I really dont want to break the hoses. (The hoses are made out of steel not rubber) I tried and twisting it off but no dice.

You need a special tool to remove the lines.

haha yep, you need the special tool that slides around the hose, and unhooks something up where the lines hook together...i didnt know this until about an hour after trying to get mine apart

WTF kind of tools are those. I never used anything close to that. I noticed that yes it is a removal tool, but I used this type. Comes in a six pack.

yeah you can get either at any parts store, the wrench tool is better I believe b/c it gives you some leverage to push inside the quick connect. FYI you will need this tool to remove other lines like your A/C, so you should just buy them. They are only a couple of bucks.
