Default Motor Oil and Transmission Fluid...

I've got a 99 GT with 100k+ miles on it, what brand and type of motor oil should I use? Just go with any of those "high mileage" motor oils or one in particular? I was also wondering if anybody could tell me how to flush my transmission fluids and what brand or type to put back into it... thanks.

I use valvoline high mileage in my jeep and it seems to be good. Do you have an auto or manual trans?

Get royal purple synchromax for the trans. Good stuff.

In a manual, you just need to drain it then fill. The easiest way to fill is by pulling the shifter off and filling there.

How would I go about doing that? So I would be refilling it from inside the car?

these days you can't buy crappy oil anymore. go with whatever brand's packaging you like. the high-mileage stuff is good, whatever the brand.

Yes, thats the easiest way. If you want to refill it into the trans from under the car you will need a pump to suck out the fluid from the containers into the trans which is a PITA. I do it by pulling the shifter. Much better this way for me.
