Default Timing Adjuster

I was just wondering if the Timing Adjuster was worth the money? I was thinkin about buyin one just don't know if it's worth it. I have minor mods like CAI, Upper intake, TB, Steeda ud pulleys, exhaust, and diablo sport tuner. Will it change the timing more than the diablo sport will?

a timing adjuster can be worth if yor pushed for money but a hand held tuner like sct and diablo you can do a timing adjust + more so I find those worth more

I love my timing adjuster. I felt the difference and saw the difference on my mileage increase. Too easy to install not to do it. I have mine a 4* advance and use 89 octane. I know someone who runs 6* advance on 93. Not sure if he gets anything more than I do with my 4*. but probably.

Oh, rantheman, diablo tuners adjust timing on a percentage. The manual adjuster is better. SCT is much better at the diablo for timing and everything else.

If you plan on getting a tuner or S/C in the near future, then don't get the timing adjuster.

what 04 said, but it wouldn't be worth it to you since you have a diablo sport already.

also, you don't see much at all beyond 4 degrees advanced. at least i didn't. i can only get 91 in california, but i felt strong gains up to 3degrees advanced, a little more - but not much at 4degrees and nothing beyond. i have a manual adjuster - at least they look cool.

If you get the adjuster at a good price and do the work yourself ( I think you will need a puller ) it makes sense. If you have to pay somebody to install it then the XCT hand held tuner makes more sense.

I have seen the timing adjusters used on ebay for less than $100 and new for about $150

The hand held tuner is around $375 ( I think) and you can tweak mixture and a couple of other things - more if you have an automatic.

you won't need a puller, its really easy actually. i got a "demo room" set for $75 on ebay, they were "Mod Max" but are made by Steeda. I intalled them over the Steeda UDP's I have.
