Default 4.10 or 3.73

Im doing a gear upgrade, i drive 50 miles a day at 70 mph. To any of you guys who have 4.10's, what rpms are you running at this speed? 3.73's, same Q.

did 4.10's hurt your milage much?

I cant wait to get these things order and put in. Thanks to Dan02GT and a couple other people im leaning toward 4.10's, but i'd love to get some others input. (mainly im concerned with the rpms at 70mph with 4.10's)

Thanks!

I just called Jeg's and the tech guy said in his "profesional" opinion 4.10 gears wont do me any good with a stock motor, that only a motor with cam/crank upgrades at high rpms this will help. He said 3.73's will do me good. Sounds kinda shady to me, but what do you guys think?

Is it a stick or auto? What mods do you have, and are there any more mods to come after these gears? My personal opinion go with 3.73 if a stick and 4.10 if an auto. I'm not for sure on the rpm sittings but on my 94 lighting w/ 3.73 @ 70 it sit @ about 2 and half.

4.10 or higher for automatics or cars remaining NA, 3:73 if future plans include SC or N20.

Mod motors love to spin, so 4.10 or even 4.56 gears would be good for you.
WITH STREET TIRES ??? YOU WILL BLOW THEM OFF...
