on VT Engines.com I was looking at assembled short blocks and prices.....are the billet rods stronger than forged rods (i mean they do cost more) also, if I buy the 5.4L short block will it bolt up and comply with all GT parts from my 04' (heads, intake, accessories, trans., computer, etc.)

you guys are confusing the hell out of me but i think its you all that are confused...
the stock block can handle 1000hp and some people are pushing up to 1500hp...
the limit of the stock internals is @400-450rwhp depending on your tune.
When you buy a built shortblock from an aftermarket company like VT etc you are getting a stock block with forged internals. The only aftermarket modular block is from Sean Hyland and just the block alone is like $3000...

billet is stronger then the forged rods and cost alot more also. Your intake won't bolt on a 5.4 without adapter plates.

Damn that's a great price.

But just so no one gets confused. Fully machined does NOT mean it's prepped for installing any kind of rotating assembly.
