3.8/4.6 THEFT LIGHT FLASHING WON'T START
OK HERE'S THE DEAL I HAD A 99 V6 W/AUTOMATIC. THEN IN JULY BOUGHT A GT MOTOR/MANUAL TRANS(CAME WITH EVERYTHING
NEEDED FOR SWAP WIRING, PEDAL ASSEM, RADIATOR, H-PIPE, DRIVESHAFT....ETC.) ENGINE AND TRANS SWAP IS DONE ALL
WIRING DONE V6 KEY RE-CODED FOR NEW COMPUTER......STILL WON'T START AND THEFT LIGHT FLASHING LIKE HECK IF I GROUND
OUT THE FUEL PUMP SOME WHERE BESIDES STOCK LOCATION IT WILL START AND RUN FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND THEN SHUT
OFF. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL STEERING COLUMN AND KEY I AM PREPARING TO SWAP THAT NEXT SO THAT THE COMPUTER, IGNITION
AND KEY WILL ALL MATCH HOPING THAT WILL FIX MY PROBLEM AND HAVE THE CAR BACK ON THE ROAD. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY
THOUGHTS? AND IF IT DOES NOT WORK HOW MIGHT I DISENGAGE/REMOVE THE THEFT SYSTEM MODULE?

Your Mustang has a Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS), a radio transmitter with a key code, and the car won't start without the chip in the steering column that has the same frequency as a box in the trunk. The code identifies the correct key.
You'll need the key, steering column and the "black box" out of the same car in the same car to make it work.
I don't know if Ford can help you on this one. Maybe

ok here's an update! steering column in and fuel pump now works! car starts for about 2-3 seconds and shuts off i am going to the
dealership tomorrow morning and gonna chat with them about the reflash before i get it towed up there. i rally hope this works cause
she needs to be back on the road before the snow hits!

Well, you have the right key and the right colum. Now all you need is the right box in the trunk and you're there. Hope Ford can re-flash it for you.
