Default 06' Cobalt SS

my friend drives a 06 cobalt ss and has been talking alot of trash on my stang and wants to race. he has an injen cai, headers, high-flow cat, borla cat-back, a new pcm, raised his rev limiter to 7k, 42 lb injectors, 2.8 s/c pulley. which puts him at 16 psi. my mods are in my sig. we would race at the track so it would be from a dig. i think if i hook up ill have him. what do u all think?

Assuming you have the mods you say you do, you will win if you get traction.

only race him from a dig, your car launches much better.

Seems like it would be a close race. Only one way to find out the outcome. Go for it.

i think as long as i get traction and don't miss a shift i should be really close. do u guys think 5200 is good to shift to stay in the power band?

If he has anything to stop his wheel hop I would think you'd lose...just an opinion...i've taken a ride in one with a pulley and it pulls way harder than my GT

5200 is a little bit low. Try 5450 or you can do some practicing on your own to find the optimum shift point. Try to keep the car in the 4000 RPM range after shifts because that is the desirable powerband.
