Default Sizing Questions

Whats going on guys, long time no see...

Got a question, more of a confirmation for you guys running wheels and tire combinations. My brother is going to be putting some wheels and tires on the stang very soon and we need some help with the sizing. He is going to be going with the Chrome Saleens. 18X9 up front and 18X10 in the rear.

Now remember... the car has a body kit on it, and has been lowered with Steeda springs, 2' in the front and 1.8' in the rear. I think I have a good idea of what we are going to run, but I was hoping you guys with experience could confirm this for me....

18X9 up front wrapped around 265/?/18

18X10 in the rear wrapped around 295/?/18

First question... What tire heights should we be running... 30? 35? I left the height number blank because Im not 100% sure.

Also I know a lot of you run 265 up front, is that good? What about with a lowered car?
And 295 in the back I "heard" is the largest you can run on a lowered car?

Thanks in advance for the info guys! I know this has been posted a million times, Im pretty sure of this setup, but I want to confirm with you guys!

-Mike

Ok sounds good... Any other opinions of the height of the tires?

And what about the widths... 295 in the back will fit on a lowered car? Can I go bigger?

And 265 is a good size for the front?

I'm running 265/35-18 up front (18x9) and 295/35-18 in the rear (18x10). No rubbing issues, looks great. I wish I would have gone with a little skinnier of a tire up front so it doesn't track the bumps in the road so bad but the 265 is a perfect fit.

Not on an 18" wheel... With a 17" a 315 will fit but you'll have to remove the quad shock and bang your exhaust out of the way of the control arm and the tire. I have the stock springs and the 295 is pretty close, but doesn't touch anything. My exhaust sits closer than the quad shock does, but there's about an inch of clearance... plenty.

Basically, you're right, something larger than 295 won't fit.
