Which car would you rather own...

RE: Which car would you rather own...
i'm torn. i used to hate the new body style over the new edge but ever since i saw a 2007 gt california special i was sold on it. however the gt500 looks a lot bigger than the california special and im not a fan of the wheels. also i love the look of the cobras sleek design. it looks so much more modern and current and not quite as big or heavy.
overall if i had to choose i'd probably take the gt500 because its newer, updated, has more potential, and any issues i have with the appearance could be remedied (eg new wheels, lower it).
true that. you paid for the car... USE it.

I hate people who buy a car and just because of its "rarity" never or barely drive it. If I buy a car you're damn sure that I'm going to drive it a lot.

Shelby. Terminator has IRS and that kills the chances of me ever wanting to own a terminator no matter how "badd @$$" they are. Shebly has a solid and a 5.4. with a pulley and a tuner and a set of pipes youd be making over 600 at the wheels. Do that in a terminator for under 2 grand.

I voted for the Shelby. That car has soooo much potential. Firs of all, it has the 5.4, there is no replacement for displacement. And while it is kind of a pig, you can always lighten it up. The Cobra has it's advantages as well, they are by no means slouches, but I think that more could be done with the Shelby once the aftermarket smoothes things out and makes the car a bit more balanced.

I didn't know that. I thought that Shelby and Ford's SVT designed it. But I guess not. Thanks for the correction.

The GT500 doesnt have any affiliation with SVT. They simply go by Shelby.

The Shelby GT500 is the last of Ford's SVT line and has more HP. Compare how many GT500's you see on the road to how many 03-04 Cobras you see on the road. ..But, I wouldn't mind having either one .. If I had a choice, GT500.

whoever said the thing about more power, but putting down teh same numbers as a Terminator..
tell me, which would you rather spend money on...
more money to make up the poer difference for the Terminator, then spending MORE to get it to hook
or some money to make the Shelby hook, since its already making MORE power
call it waht you like, the Shelby is the most powerful mustang to ever come out, who cares about all the other stuff

i picked the 03/04 cobra not because how fast it is just the newer body styles are retarded in my opinion, ford should of made a whole new body style, not something trying to bring back the 69/70 look because then i think its just taking the valuability of the 69/70 stang away..my dad has a 69 mach n my bro has a 70 coupe n its alot cooler to say that they are actually those yrs n not saying how we have a 07..but it resembles a 69/70! hah n i plainly dont even like the look of the new body style
