Default WEIGHED MY '99 CONVERTIBLE TODAY AND ...

was surprised that it weighed 3500lbs. with 1/2 a tank of fuel and little in the trunk. My registration says 3352lbs. but that must be dry as I cannot otherwise account for the weight. Now my high 13 at 102 makes me feel a bit better. I got a race fuel tune from brenspeed for 100 unleaded octane and did not get a better time on my passport timer but I did get my best MPH at 101.8 with a 2.25 60' as the motor was making more power for sure as it spun hard right off idle with no attempt to power launch the car as I never do. Usually it hooks without much spin at all so more power was being made and for some reason it did not shift at 6200 like usual and hit the 6500 rpm rev limiter for a second before shifting into second. Anyone else weigh a convertible and come up with something close to 3500lbs.? Thanks, mark

The 3500lbs. was JUST the car!
I don't see where 200lbs. could be lost. Granted I have the back seat and such but all I had I could have taken out was the spare and jack! Thanks again, mark
My friend with a '65 Chrysler that weighs 4500lbs runs 13.78 at 103. Not bad even for a 413c.i. considering the weight but he built that motor right.
