Default Where to work on car....?

I just moved up to UCF in Orlando, Florida. I am pretty good with doing stuff myself with my car, but i am living in a dorm set-up here in college. I was just wondering where all you college DIY'ers do your work, i just hate paying someone to do something i would enjoy doing myself.

when I was in the dorm i'd just do all my normal maint stuff in the parking lot on jackstands. anything bigger than that, find someone with a garage or a nice flat driveway

Being in the military, I can use the DIY autocraft shop on base. Pretty much everything you need for 4.50 an hour.
