Default i have question bout my 2001 gt
wuz up guys well i just recently bought a 2001 mustang gt 5 spd and wanted to get ur guys opinion onsomething..i would like to kno wich is a good rpm to take off at without too much willspin or too little power...just give me ur opinions..thanks

Mine likes about 3200 rpm's with my 3.73 gears. If you dont have gears yet you might be able to launch higher without spinning too much.

3000-3500 and slip the clutch out.

wow and this whole time i have been launching at like 1500 because i have been dumping the clutch...im an idiot. guess i will have to try the 3000 clutch slip the next time i go to the track.

ive never did it at the track yet, messed around on the street ALOT doing it. its really hard, but works pretty well.

im pretty sure it would work alot better if you let some of the air out of the rear tires too. That one thing i forgot to do

I slip the clutch around 1500 and have no problem leaving most 'challenging' cars behind, including 'maros, 'birds, and z's.
