So freakin' worth it.

I had the Steeda Tri-Ax on my GT. I fell in love with it so much, that when I bought the Vette...the first thing I ordered was a short-shifter.

I only hope it's at least 1/4 as good as the Tri-Ax was. Seriously, it is THAT good.

edit: Some more to add: Not sure how everyone else feels about their vehicles, but I like mine raw and untamed. When I bought the Steeda Tri-Ax, I tossed the factory rubber bushing that mounts between the shifter stick and the shift handle that has the 2 height settings. This made SO MUCH difference. It let a bit of tranny noise through, I could hear it spinning/whining and all that. With that rubber bushing gone, and with the firmness of the Tri-Ax...the shifts were perfect. No mushy or squishy feeling...it was firm, and each shift was like a click. It was so direct and accurate, it's hard to explain. But it made the entire unit feel more beefy/stronger and just plain fun.

DO NOT pay someone to install it. It's really very simple. It comes with very clear instructions, and I'm sure a quick google search will net you some more instructions with pictures.

It's so easy...will probably take an hour to 1.5hrs to get it done the first time while being careful.

The Tri-ax rocks I have it on my car. Makes powershifting so easy.

Install takes about 20min very simple.

He's saying the transmission in the Mustang is junk, not the aftermarket shifter.

Ignore him, you'll be just fine.
