Default Running with EGR unhooked

SO if I plug both the inlet of my EGR and the Outlet on my exhaust. Will my car run f****ed up? and, could it be simply tuned out on a factory chip if, I took it to dynojet or something?

If you have a diablo tuner or the like you can turn it off. But dont unplug it unless you turn it off. Itll F up your car otherwise. You know how touchy the computer systems are on these things

Well, I dont' have a tuner for it, so would it be bad if I unhook it and drive it like 10 miles? Will it fowl my plugs?

Yes you wil screw up your plugs and possibly your motor. Not sure if it will load up your plugs or run them lean and dry, but either way it's bad! If for some reason you think you must, I wouldn't stomp on the gas, because it's gonna run like crap, that's if it runs at all!

Did you block it off or is it just an open hole (exhaust side and on the EGR)

ATM it is open on both sides. I am going to plug the exhaust side and then turn off the egr valve. DO i have to plug it AND turn it off, or just turn it off?

I have another question. Will a Diablo tuner for a 98 work on my 1997? Or do I have to try and have dynojet do it?

Its a mo FO to get back in. Its all rusted and I can barely get to it with my LT's. I figure it will be easier to just unhook it all. Anyways, does a 98 predator tuner work for a 97 gt?

The EGR helps keep cylinder temps down and I would leave it functionng. mark
