Not really, in 1969 Chevy made a bad *** Z28 with a 302c.i. engine. It was the DZ302 & they were fast as hell for the time & if you can get an original one in decent shape, it would sell for many,many dollars

PS: Buick had astreet racer with a 3.8c.i. V6 in `87 that was pretty fast--- the Grand National & the GNX . Also let`s not forget the Boss 302`s. The point is that you can have a really fast car with a smaller engine.
