Lol, that one is a joke post, right? Stock SS camaro puts darn near 320 TO THE TIRES(compared to the mustang gt of the same year's anemic 230 to the tires)...oh, it also costs almost half of what the new GT500 does (because it is not MEANT to be a competitor in that segment, that is what the Vette is about, the base Vette ='s the GT500 and the Z06 *** pummels it along with performing at the same level as the 150K+dealer markup GT) and it doesnt handle like a swine. I think it looks better too, but I know that one is personal and subjective.

Hey I agree that the Vette beats a 03-04 stock cobra. But to go as far as saying that it beats the new GT500 is maybe just in handleing but in straight line performance the new shelby is hand s down champ. And the overpriced supercar in the Ford GT is moderatly underpriced than its european counterparts and is one of the fastes production cars there is, including any corvette!

To compare a 2002 SS to the GT500 makes no sense. But give me a cherry 02 TA and I'm a happy camper.
