Magnaflow versus MAC 4.6L Cat Backs
The only mod I have done to my 2003 Mustang GT is a cold air intake mod. I'm thinking about starting simple right now, and start with partially replacing the exhaust. I've heard the Cat Back provides the most HP and Sound improvement for the buck..
My question is, what are the differences (as far as sound and HP/Torque) between the Magnaflow and MAC 4.6L SOHC Cat Back exhaust systems? Does one make the engine sound better or louder than the other? What about any HP/Torque differences?

It's actually 1.203333 hp over the mac. No I don't know. But magnaflow is better. (I think) If I were you though, I would buy a mac pro-chamber. Best sound.hp, torque on a naturally aspirated mustang.

Magnaflow makes a few more horses than MAC because they are straight-thru mufflers, but IMO chambered mufflers like MAC and Flowmasters sound the best on Mustangs. If you want the best sound, get a MAC cat-back or Flowmasters and an off-road H-pipe. If you're going to get mufflers, do yourself a favor and get an off-road H-pipe or X-pipe. The cats are really restrictive, and getting rid of them will really open up your exhaust note.

Will the MAC Cat back still offer more HP than my factory cat back system? If so, approx how much will I still gain? How much would I gain if I did decide to use the Magnaflow? Which one is louder, the Magnaflow or the MAC? How much better does the MAC sound (is it considerably better in sound)? Will the magnaflow sound better than the stock, although it doesn't sound as good as the MAC?

Hehe lol. The tips are 3.5" I think, I may just get some 40's and weld them in and sell the magnaflow mufflers if I don't get a descent offer on the cat-back. I paid $370.00 for them new.
