Default race the evo or no?

some kid with a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo wants to race.

i m confident that no 4 cylinder turbo rice burner is going to beat my car

but some of my friends who invested good hard american money on rice say that a Evo will beat a GT. is all wheel drive that important? the official HP ratings say 286 for the evo. i estimate 310 on my car. rounding up.

the race would be on a controled track.
not sure what conditions are, but probably straight line. no way my car can beat that on turns.

you will most likely get stomped, get some f/i and it would be a better race.

If that's all you have for mods in your sig, you don't have anything close to 310 for HP to the wheels. You might be lucky to have 245 to the wheels.

If hes stock and a bad driver and you're like god then you might have a chance from a dig. AWD lets you launch like no other. Right now he has about a 90% chance of winning. Just run him because you never know....

im pretty sure its stock, its a 35 thousand dollar car its a high school kid. and my sig isnt everything, i got more int there, a lot of little things that add one or two hp here and there, plus how do i start with a stock 4.6 with 260 hp and modify it and end up with 248? that dosent make any sense. i probably wont race him based on the responses im getting, ive beaten camaro z 28s, transams, and four dodge neon srt 4s loaded. im not going to brag im amzing driver, but i know how my car works, ive been driving since i could reah floor peadles and i can hold my own. my first car was a 67 289 coupe which could blow the doors off new gts.

you're going to get killed, bad, unless the extra stuff on your car is like 4.10 gears and all the other boltons, or nitrous.

what new gt's are you referring to? i'm thinking a 67 coupe in brand new condition would get spanked by todays cars.

I'm no expert but 260 is from the motor / crank not to the wheel. I see just from your mods you might go back up to 250. That EVO will rip you up, and I doubt you beat an SRT-4. I'm trading in my GT so I don't have to hear how a NEON blew my doors off. GT's are slow. Get a 100 shot of nitrous you may take him then.

Just race him and find out. But from the looks of things he has the edge. If its an LT1 camaro and transam u should beat them, if it was an LS1 then and u beat them, then u can prolly take the evo. If u have faith in ur car run him!
