+1 on the dyno tune. Only with a dyno can a good shop tune your car to the max. Everything else is just a canned tune.

 

Brent is about as helpful as they get. I'd recommend brenspeed.com to anyone with a Mustang.

Anyways, I'm sure Brent's tunes are safe to load & run your car hard after, but it is ALWAYS a GOOD IDEA to get on a dyno with a good A/F reading. Some GT's might respond to modifications slighty different than others.

Thought so. Way too far of a trip for me to make. I have a respectable shop less than an hour from me. Don't have the reputation of JDM for sure, but they've done their fair share of good work.

i called them as soon as i ordered my SCT from brenspeed. that was about 2 weeks ago and the earliest appointment i was able to get was November 30th at 9am. and they stressed be there at 9am. i don't know the price or how many pulls on the dyno i get, but it won't matter cause i heard they do a hell of a job.

 

Yeah it's an overdrive gear. However, some of us automatic types like to call it 4th gear. I need to take mine back to THR to get 4th gear softened up too. At partial to low throttle my car shifts too hard into 4th. Doesn't feel too pleasant to me. Time to get some gears.
