No you NEED an impact. With the CORRECT sized socket it will get that thing off quicker than you can say damnit. But if its the wrong size and you pull that trigger it will round it off in a heart beat. I neve even tried without one but a breaker bar will work wonders in gettin that bolt off. Good luck though.

I tried two different impact wrenches with the correct socket and it didnt even budge. 8 hours on one ****ing bolt.

did you destroy the nut yet? That sucks man, I remember doing mine. I used a breaker bar. They break EVERYTHING, lol. But yeah, pb blaster and a long breaker bar with a deep socket, swivel and extensions should get it off.

Impact worked for me. My buddy rounded off the driver's side (trying to teach him some things) and I had to get the stripped nut sockets. If PB and an impact didn't do it I bet you rounded it off. Get a light up in there and look at it good. Spend the $20 at Pepboys and get the stripped nut sockets and hit it again with the impact.

Good luck!
