do you still have your maf screen in the garage?
OK, so on the Mach it came with a steeda rai. The screen is gone and I have the infamous engine die when coasting to a stop. It would seem in the beginnings of my search finding one to buy, without buying the maf setup, is quite difficult. I know many of you removed them with no ill effect. Do you still have it? I know this isn't the wtb section but with something like this, I figure the screen will get roundfiled before anyone looks in wtb.

yes it is the MAF screen. trust me. its a known thing with the MACHs. i took mine out and had a very hard time with stalling while coasting to a stop in nuetral. i had tossed mine and had no choice but to purchase a new one from the ford dealer. it was like 30 bucks and as soon i put it back in, i disconnected the battery and when i drove it, the probem was gone. that screen smooths out the airflow so the MAF sensor can read the airflow more accurately, and all the air coming through while coasting with low engine RPM gives an un-accurate reading cause the airflow is not smooth.

I think it's nuts to remove the MAF screen anyway.. there's too much risk of inhaling a foreign object into the intake to make the 0.5hp power gain worth it lol

i, too, thought it was my IAC. ford replaced it under warranty, and still had the problem. narrowed it down to the screen. trust me, its the screen. make sure that when u install it, that the mesh are vertically and diagonally matched with the position of the MAF.
its obvious that it is the screen, cause the stalling only happens when large amouts of air are coming through the intake. like during a coast in nuetral, thus, that proves its the MAF reading.
