The second one says "Lift off," also weighs 4 lbs. less.

I don't know what "lift off" means, but whatever it means, that's what's different.

the lift off is going to be a little lighter because it doesnt need the extra support for the hinges and the hood latch, thats also why it is cheaper.

Lift-off means that you are going to have to use hood pins to hold it on.. Which isn't always the best thing for a Daily driver, they are more for strip cars.

Yea....lift off hoods don't latch on to the hinges....so you can't open and close it like a normal hood.

So ever time you need to work on your engine...you will have to "lift off" your hood.

EDIT: Oh, and I have the 3"....I wouldn't go any bigger.

Thank you Jon, I couldn't think of the best way to describe it...
