some gts came with the flat black stripes and on the hood it had gt cut out in the stripes... i almost bought a yellow convertible like this

I have a 2000 GT and it has the hoodscoop and the side scoops that were standard on that model year. The 2001 models brought the worthless hoodscoop and sides. There is nothing wrong with the car. Ford and there suttle changes. .....

no, dont listen to that guy.......

they started with the raised hood scoop and full side scoops in 01 I believe. then in 02 they changed the spoiler to the raised style.

00 GTs will have the flat hood scoop (like in my sig... cuz its an 00) and will have the 1/4 side scoops (the ones that are slanted way back). I dont know about factory stripes tho.... my GT even game with v6 wheels (16" 5 spoke with the 6" pony center cap), same wheels on my buddy's 04 sixer.

i think those 2000s that had the hood stripes were called the spring edition... you might have that

i dont know for the other model years but 1999 and 2000 the rims that were standard on the mustang were 16's. Im glad the guy who ordered mine opted for the 17's 5-spokes........ I still have the build sheet somewhere, i will have to find it to get the exact sizes. Most of the GTs i do see also have atleast the 17s on them . Personally anything smaller i wouldnt even consider unless it was a drag racing tire.

Those stripes could be a dealer installed modification. Your car did NOT LEAVE FORD with those stripes installed.

bro in 01 was when they first came out with the large hoodscoop and side scoops also...99-00 gts look somewat like the v6 with the scoop and a differerent type of wing also with the grey alloy rims ...not the bullits
