So if the guy has taken it back to the dealer and has all the imminate repairs done. Could they whoop at the track? Will it be a good car to mod.

They aren't much faster then PI GT's at the track stock but put some 4.10/4.30's in and start modding. They respond well to boltons...much better then 2V NA

i was thinkin i would start with full exhaust, gears, cams, then intake, shifter, maybe n2o.

Then it would be nasty...get some harder bushings for the rear IRS or you will never get a good launch.

I was also possibally considering a blower how would this work. I was thinking of upgrading the intake im guessing the p51 wont work.

no P51 won't work on a 4V...Cobra intake on 99-01 is very good. Just add a blower, they like boost.

thanks man, but the motor after all the work done by ford is ready for mods? I was thinking cams 1st, mainly because i love the sound. and some low low gears, like 430's because of the extra grand i have to tach up.

Whats wrong with the 99 Cobra. IRS thats whats wrong.

Just P&P the heads and intake and youll gain a good amount of power that way.

well im gonna add a brace to help with the hard launches on slicks. But other than that i think im gonna do full exhaust, then head and intake work.
