I really don't see you getting into the 13's. People were telling me all day long, I'd hit low 13's with my setup. And I have a S/C. Of course I won't know what it'll do for awhile, but if you're getting 13's with 287 rwhp, then I should be hitting 10's with no problem.

i don't want to be offensive, but i think you are misinformed. stock 99's with superb drivers can hit high 13's. its possible and thats with 225rwhp. with 287 even a beginner should be able to go high 13's, decent/good mid/low 13's and for those who care not about their car and beat it to a pulp high 12's.

yea i might i have heard good things about sct.... i bet if i didnt have to pull through a damn auto i would have hit it. but it pulls harder than hell cant wait to take it to the track mabe 12's...? is it possible i got that 2800 stall in it now but i think it hurts me because ill stall it up then jus blow my tires up in smoke i like it tho
Uh no, maybe mid 14's, if you're lucky. Possibly even high 14's maybe even lower 15's. Mid 14's might be with DR or slicks.
Your times are CRAZY. Mid 14's is stock with an auto...ANd he said he is already doing mid 13's before the heads/cams, which sounds about right...And 12's ARE possible with good suspension, tires, and weight reduction....REally hard though....good luck with your 10's though [sm=laughat.gif]

Well I guess I was off then. You must not know what I have then. If you're hitting mid 12's with 225 hp which sounds BS to me, then I'll have no problem getting tens with over 500hp to the wheels.

no one ever said 12's with 225 hp...They said 12's with 287, which I said was still hard, but not impossible with the proper suspension and tires. I was just saying that your claims of 14's and 15's for his car were way on the high side, thats all...And I am very aware of what you have done to your car, I read your thread on it, nice car. ANd 10's could be possible for you too, with LOTS of suspension, maybe weight reduction, depending on what hp you have at that time...

500 hp doesnt do you any good unbless you can hook up, you better be doin alot of suspension work if you want to hit 10's, like a 4 link.

lol, well I know I won't have the tires to hook up right, so my time , whenever I get to the track, will be higher I'm sure the first time out. I know it is 287, I just re-read above about the 225 at high 13's. I've just heard so many people saying they're doing mid to high 14's or low 15's. Sorry I'm tired, long day at work, lol.

Whenever I get to the track, there won't be any weight reduction. Everything stays in. It's not a track monster, so I'm not really into the removing everything to get the best time. I want to see what it does with everything on it as is. And yes, after all is said and done and I break the new motor it, I'll be pushing it to 14 psi of boost and of course re-dyno tune it, so she should be over 500 to the wheels when all is done, and hell the new forged block is capable of up to 700 so I've got plenty to play with. lol.

Sorry, Colt3888 didn't mean to steal the thread, lol.

ANYWHO, back to the tune, definately think about the SCT tuner and get her redone. I hope to have the new motor broke in(900 miles left before break in) RIGHT, lol not by the time this year ends, BUT if it does I'm hoping to get back in and re-dyno tune it.

No suspension work here. I have the air ride on it now and not changing that back I had all lakewood that I bought for it and then changed to the airbag setup since I show it.
