flows and the BBK x-pipe don't sound good at all. My friend had BBk O/R X w/ the American Thunder catback and it sounded like ****! If i were you, I would go with a MAC Prochamber or a O/R H pipe to make your flows sound good.

I have a BBK X-pipe with a SLP LM catback...now that sounds good (to me).

first of all Xs dont sound too good IMO, and should not be combined with any chambered muffler.

mine sounds bad as hell, i still get compliments on it but some brands do tend to have this rocks-in-a-tincan sound.
personally, an x-pipe, (especialy o/r) combined with straight-through design muffler sounds awful [:'(] waaay too much snap crackle and popping going on

One of my buddies had the BBK X and Flows setup on his 40th. It was as described, he hated it, I didn't hate it, but there is definitely better out there.

Not to Hijack this thread but i want to change to a high flow cat set up, and wanted the catted x just to sound unlike every other 4.6 w. the h. And I hate seeing all these treads about which exhaust should I get... but u guy's have thrown a monkey wrench into my plans[sm=joke.gif].
So to wrap this up either get the catted x and change the flows or get a catted h and keep the flows?[sm=sigh.gif]

On Nov. 11th I am changing from stock manifolds, BBK O/R H and 2 1/2" Flowmaster catback to BBK LT's, BBK O/R X and 2 1/2" Flowmaster catback. I have search for this setup and can not find sound clips. I will post one once everything is done. This way finally we will have a clip for reference.

its a bbk X with flows catback, stock everything else
that's a horrible combination, imo. always sounds how you are describing it.
+1

the sound you are hearing is the combonation of a bbk X with cats and a set of flowmasters.

In other words, puke

BTW, the mils don't always work. +1 on the tuner solution.

You might have broke one of the sensors when re-instaling it in the pipe?????
