Shifter Reach

RE: Shifter Reach
I am 6 ft even and for the first day on the mach (pro short throw) it felt like I was having to twist forward to shift (especially into 3rd) but after that I don't even notice between that and the GT, which has a stock shifter...at least as far as the comfort is concerned. FWIW I do lean back a bit further than most 6ft people do...but no gangsta ride

RE: Shifter Reach
6'1' and I wish i could get farther from the wheel. I can reach the shifter fine, but I feel crunched in, and really dont think I would fare to well in a severe accident. There is very little leg crush room, and I fell like I'm too close to the airbag. (This is in a 97, but i dont think they changed the dimensions at all since then so...)

RE: Shifter Reach
look into the "roush vintage shifter" it lays back a bit more that reg. shifters because of the handle design, you might like it, its on the roush performance page as well as a few selective others, take a look @ it

RE: Shifter Reach
I am 6'1" and I have the seat back as far as it can go and I get a kink in my left leg because I cannot stretch it out at all.
Even when pushing the clutch I cannot fully extend my leg but I have no prob reaching the shifter for any gear.
