Default Which tire size?

I've been debating on what I should go with in the rears. I'll be deciding on either a 275, 285, 295, or 315. This would be on a 17 in. DD rim. Its uses would be more than just for straight line racing, although I would like to make a few passes down the strip every now and then, but I would like to autocross, and normal weekend cruising. My question is, what is the best tire to go on what I want to do?

You gotta go with 315 on a 17" DD rim...it should be a law.

I should've put this in as well... this is for a 17x10.5 rim in the rear of an 04 cobra. So really, I should just take out the 275 option cuz that would be too skinny. The only hold I have on the 315's is that I would either have to use a spacer or shave the IRS bolt. But other than that, I agree... it looks awesome.

couldn't you just use a 5 or 10 mm spacer and have the clearance without worrying about "spacer problems"...if not just go with 295...aren't there 305s out there too?

Umm I wouldn't even consider the 275 or the 285 for that matter. Unless you want your tires to end up like mine...
