Default Mark VIII 4.6

Is a Lincoln Mark VIII engine the same as a cobra 4.6 engine?
Would it bolt up directly to the mustang?
Could I use the same Mark VIII wire harness on the mustang?
Would the Mark VIII engine be compatable with a five speed from a 2000 GT Mustang?

Its not entirely the same...same aluminum block and heads but different crank and intake....it can be installed in a mustang.

yea im actually putting one of these in my stang... like he said some block and heads as the below 99 cobras with different cams(slightly), intake manifold, etc. But if you get one im pretty sure you would bore it and change the internal and cams anyways at least thats my plan

These are 4v heads correct? Will the 2v pi heads fit on this block?

Yes, the only thing you will have to do is drill a hole in the block. The 2 Valve head has a coolant passage that the 4 valve head doesn't have so the 4V block just needs this drilled. Its very easy! When you put the driver side head gasket on you will see where it needs to go. You just mark the area with a punch then drill it out. Its not deep and not hard. I have a 4V aluminum block for my 2V build.
