Default PI swap and nitrous

if i ran with a PI swap and a 100 shot what would i have to use for octane? also would it be safe to run a 100 and PI on stock motor. can i do the PI swap with out pulling out the motor.

Yes you can do the PI swap with engine in the car...you will need to run 93 with a PI headswap...same if you add nitrous. 100 shot is ok on stock engine...a tune would be best bet.

What? The new edges have dished pistons to lower the compression ratio back down to what it was in the NPI GT's (I think it picked up one tenth of a point)... If you do the PI swap without changing the pistons (who does, really?) your compression will be a bit over one full point higher... requiring a bit more octane.

i would say by now thousands have done the swap...most do it themselves since its not hard but it is long and tedious. Allow a few days to complete it and get a friend or 2 to help.

And alot of people who pi swap add nitrous because the 2 together are a cheap way to get your NPI mustang to 400+ rwhp for under $2000.

well is a 100 shot too much because of the increased compression ratio?

Hell no, nitrous loves high compression. You'll see the best results, thats why lsx motors respond so well to nitrous compared to a new edge 4.6
