I have been thinking about a set for a while now but I kind of have a fear that if I f**k with all of my bulbs (heads and fogs) I will get one of them starting to fog up.
I just replaced a fog assembly that I could not get to stop fogging up and it bugged the s**t out of me.

Back on topic - they are def. a step up from stock with brightness and do not have that blue ricer tint to them. I have never heard them melting the housings either.

If you're thinking about going with the Ultra's, just by the Hella light bulbs. They are a tad cheaper and Hella makes good lights.

I have 899 and they don't make them. I tried 893st (direct replacement) but within 3 weeks, 1 blew out

Any reason why the bulb would just blow on me? I tried to contact sylvania, but they said they cannot replace since it was not a valid use the product
