1998 Mustang GT

Over the past few weeks my engine light has been going on and off. During this time the car has been running very bad it has been hesitating and the idle has been so bad that at times I thought the car was going to stall. To make things worse there is a piging noise also when the car idles. I have done some modifications to the car which include bbk shorty headers, bbk x-pipe with cats, bbk cold air intake, slp loudmouth catback, and bbk mil eliminators. This problem has occured before which is why I got the mil eliminators, and they did fix the problem for about 3 months. I think the problem is happening again because the mil eliminators have burned out, but I am not entirely sure. Any opinions on what might be wrong with the car are appreciated and thanks in advance for the help.

well the first first step would be to pull the codes and see whats up. when was the last time you serviced it? (including plugs & wires)

I had the entire car checked out including new plugs, wires, and a tune up about 4 months ago. That was my first attempt at trying to fix this problem.

definetely pull the codes... since its throwing codes on and off, thats probably the direct answer to your problems.
