bbk catless x
hey its been a while since my last post but i can get a used bb catless x pipe for $50. i have borla mufflers on right now and i am most likely going to swith to the borla stingers.
i have a couple questions though. will this give me a deeper rumble or more of a raspy sound? is it worth it to take em for 50 or should i buy new ones? are catted x pipes better than catless. and would an catless h/catted h be better? sorry for all the questions. moneys tight so i dont want to waste it and not like it. thanks
let me know what you think would sound the best with borla mufflers, next summer borla stingers

Yea definitely. Also from what I've seen, practically all local stangs around here I know and see who have a off-road x-pipe with any type of exhaust is mostly raspy, just because its an offroad x. You want loud deeper rumble go for an H-pipe. Offroad is a little louder, but you dont gain much performance over a high-flow catted H-pipe.

alright thanks guys. i thought borla was top of the line for the stangs and my mufflers atlest are really deep and smooth sounding. will there be a noticable difference in sound between the catted/catless x/h? or just a slight difference and is the $50 a good deal of should i spend more and get something else. let me know you opinions. i like borla and will stick with them so with borla let me know what the best mid-pipe would be. thanks

Borla is just top of the price LOL I've heard alot of mixed things from the Borla stingers. Well from what I've seen, the difference is not extreme. I have a high-flow catted H-pipe. My buddy has a offroad H-pipe, and mine is almost just as loud as his, except for the fact you can hear my exhaust loud when I get on it, not when I'm taking it easy. My buddy can just chill and roll and you can hear his exhaust rumbling already. But sounds pretty close if we both get on it.

should i stick with the catless then? i was thinking cats cuz it will be a little quieter and wownt be a problem passing inspection. and what about the performance between them? mainly between the x and h. ill have to hear some clips before i decide on the sound part.

As I've said before, nowadays when you buy a catted pipe or offroad pipe, your not getting that much more performance out of the offroad pipe, maybe 1 or 2 horses if your lucky. Just about all catted pipes these days come with high-flow cats so the performance gain of an offroad cattless pipe is small to none. Despite what some say, thats the facts. Check it on a dyno lol
