at the track or on the street. is your car a stick i take it? i bring my rpms around 2500 and let of the clutch on the street and spin threw 1st. at the track i have slicks so i launch around 5000 rpms

Based on what I have read in a couple magazines that managed 13.9's and 14.0's in STOCK 99-04GTs
It sounds like a medium-slowly feathered clutch launched around 4500-5000 RPM is the best bet.
Anything too low and the car is going to bog down and ruin your launch, anything too high with too much clutch slippage is going to result in spin..
in all honesty however, its tough for someone to just "tell" you the best strategy, its really something that you'll have to play around with.
but remember 'Slight Spinning >X100 then Bogging'
