Default How To Install Electrical Gauges into your New Edge

How to Install Speedhut Water/Oil/Fuel (with Schrader valve) Electrical Gauges into your 99-04 Mustang GT or could be used to install other gauge sets.

I take no responsibility for any breakage or harm to your vehicle this MAY cause.

Items needed:

1. Temp Sensor and Gauge.
2. Oil Sensor and Gauge.
3. Fuel Pressure Sensor and Gauge.

7. 1. 90 Street EL/ ¼ MPT (For Oil Pressure Sensor).
8. 1. NOS Fuel Rail adapter (NOS Part#NOS16785)(For Fuel Rail Sensor).
9. 2 Gallons of Premixed Antifreeze or whatever you may want to use or reuse previous antifreeze.
10. 1 Quart of fresh oil.

Recommendations before you start this project:

1. Let car cool overnight and start in the morning.
2. Fridge with beer and or soda.
3. Some friends to keep ya company, well ok that one is an option only
Now onto the install

This is for the Fuel Pressure Sensor

1. Open hood and properly support the hood using whatever means you seem necessary.
2. Open beer or soda.
3. Remove cap from Schrader Valve.
4. Lay a rag just below the Schrader valve incase any fuel would come out. (When I did mine I let it set overnight and all the pressure was gone when I pushed on the valve)
5. Push down on valve inside the Schrader valve using your small phillips screwdriver or whatever you can find to get in there.(watch for gas spitting out)
6. Using 11/32 deep well socket or wrench turn Schrader valve counter clockwise till valve has been removed.
7. Using NOS adapter and plumbers tape, tape the threads.
8. Install NOS Adapter turning clockwise till tight. Snug it down with 11/32 socket or wrench.

This is for Oil Pressure Sensor

1. While vehicle is still up in the air open another beer or soda.
2. Using ¼ allen socket remove oil pug (careful about a ¼ cup of oil will come out).
3. Using Plumbers tape, tape up your 90EL and your other fittings for your oil pressure sensor.
4. Install your 90EL first and tighten it tight and make sure its pointing in a manner not to interfere with anything.
5. Next install your ¼ MPT to 1/8 FPT turning clockwise that you previously taped up.
6. Using your ½ wrench tighten your ¼ MPT to 1/8 FPT adapter snuggly.
7. Next install your oil pressure sensor turning clockwise that your previous taped using plumbers tape.
8. Using your 11/16 wrench turning clockwise snugly tighten your oil pressure sensor.
9. Next run your wires as you deem necessary.

Open Oil fill and put about the same amount of oil back in and then close oil cap back on.

Start car and check for leaks.
If no leaks, you're all done and open another beer and grab some food and sit back and marvel at your accomplishment

Sticky maybe?

Where did you get the wire? Did you pull the switch out or something?

I have mine just wired into the on/off switch for the lights atm, which means no dimmer.
