4.6 dohc interference?
some quick qs;
is the 4.6 dohc from the markViii or cobras a interferience motor?
does any of the ecus have eprom chips? or 24 bit chips that i can flash from home for cheap?
does anyone know a good/cheap place to get forged interals for the motor?
what is forged already in the motor?
do these respond well to turbos? or twins?
and lastly what manual trannies go behind this? can the old 5 speed from the 5.0 hook to this motor (86-93)
---------
how much boost do the stock internals take then (the ones without stock forged pistons)
* 1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII, 280 hp (209 kW) and 285 ft·lbf (386 N·m)
* 1995-1998 Lincoln Continental, 260 hp (194 kW)
* 1997-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, 290 hp (216 kW)
* 1999-2002 Lincoln Continental, 275 hp (205 kW)
* 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder, 302 hp (225 kW) and 318 ft·lbf (431 N·m)
* 1996-1998 Ford Mustang, Cobra, 305 hp (227 kW) and 300 ft·lbf (407 N·m)
* 1999/2001 Ford Mustang, Cobra, 320 hp (239 kW) and 317 ft·lbf (430 N·m)
* 2003 Ford Mustang, Mach 1, 305 hp (227 kW) and 320 ft·lbf (434 N·m)
* 2004 Ford Mustang, Mach 1, 310 hp (231 kW) and 335 ft·lbf (454 N·m)
* 2003-2004 Ford Mustang, Cobra, Supercharged, 390 hp (291 kW) and 390 ft·lbf (528 N·m)
* 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, 302 hp (225 kW) and 318 ft·lbf (431 N·m)
I am looking at geting the mark Viii motor though. with the 280 not the lsc unfortunatly

You might want to slow down a bit and ask a few of these questions at a time.
I do believe the only application that you have listed that has all forged internals is the '03-'04 Cobra due to the FI. I know the older Cobras have the forged crank, but not the pistons. Lincoln uses the forged crank in their high output modular as well. The 4.6 Romeo is an interference motor and although broken timing chains on these motors are rare, piston to valve contact is possible.

4.6 romeo? is that all the 4.6 dohc motors? or one out of a car that i never heard of????????
well here, to make it easier or less difficutl to understand- lets focus on the specific 4.6 dohc- this is the one that i found and am getting-
1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII, 280 hp (209 kW) and 285 ft·lbf (386 N·m) THAT ONE-
---------------
1. so is only the lsc the HO motor?
2. is this specific motor an interfierence motor?
3. if so what is the pistons compression at? is it very high? like 10:5.1? how low would i have to lower the compression on the pistons to make it not an interference motor?
4. i know the 03' - 04' forged pistons are 8:5.1 compressionm, is there a fairy inexepensive or good deal out htere with this kidnof setup for forged pistons out there links please.
-----------
you guys ever here of koenisegg btw? on a side topic.

Mike I hate you because you do know what 4G63 is
I guess it's gonna take alittle time to get all the Rice out of your blood. We'll keep working on ya.
Vega like stated above Timing CHAIN breaks are rare. So nothing you need to worry about.
