Default Painted chin spoiler?

Anyone? I just bought a chin spoiler that will be in this week and am thinking about painting it to match my car. Has anyone done this?

The spoiler I'm getting is used, and probably has a few scratches. The paint would cover up any scratches, and I think would look really good too. I could paint it myself.

I'm also kicking around the idea of some sort of textured undercoating as a base coat. My GF's Cougar has a textured undercoating under the paint all the way around the car, you can't even tell and I think it protects from rock chips and such...but in this instance would cover up scratches.

Thanks for the pic, BTW.

I think it would look better not matched. I think it would look good accenting another appearance mod, like perhaps a black grille delete or stripes, or nothing at all. If it matches too well, you might not even notice it. I think the black looks great accenting my stripes n delete, but thats just my opinion.

Personally, I dont like it but thats just me. My chin spoiler has some scratches, and if it were painted, the upkeep wouldn't even be worth it. I'd leave it black, it'll match close enough to your car.

I will probably go ahead and install it as is. Then, later I can always take it off and paint it if I decide to.

I wouldn't mind painting my chin spoiler but since my car is lowered I scrape the spoiler all the time and scrping the paint would thoroughly **** me off.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. I don't know. It would also be pretty original...not many paint them.
