Default Removing seat belts

Does anyone know how to remove the seat belts in a 2002 gt? I will be putting in a 4 point harness for each seat so why have the factory seat belts.

Default RE: Removing seat belts

First your gonna need a torx bolt socket, phillips and some time. All you need to do up top is pop off the cover and remove that bolt, then remove the door sills, peel the carpet back some and remove the torx bolt on each side of the seat. Now the tricky part, your gonna have to remove the back 1/4 interior panel to get to the belt housing. that to is held in there with a torx bolt. you may have trouble getting the the belt back through the hole in the panel. In my race car i just cut the seat belts since i wasnt reusing them. if you want to the get the latches out you may end up having to remove the seats and since you are putting the 4 point harness in there, you can reuse the two side holes for mounting points. hope this helps, hard to describe it with it not sitting in front of me.
