I know a guy who is selling a full vortech kit, injectors, programmer, intercooler, etc for 3600, he can go a little lower if you want too. I am trying to buy it but if someone wants to buy it before me i wont hate

The Kenne Bell is that much more? I was for sure that it would be around $3k-$4k which would be why I would suggest a KB. Did you get your prices straight from Kenne Bell themselves?
KB does not sell a base non intercooled blower package for 96-98 2V's so the only KB we can get is the 9psi intercooled kit which is 5,000...this is why we have to consider roots blower packages for 2000 less.

The Allen kit is very nice and well thought out. You can easily add 100hp with it. Allen also has an upgraded kit with a 2.3 whipple twin screw.
I've noticed that most of the guys who buy Allen kits have Tbirds/Cougars. I've only seen the kit on a few Mustangs but a guy in my area has one and the intake is very mean looking in person.

Thanks for answering that, I know you are running the FRPP blower, and in another thread we discussed its merits, between the Allen and the FRPP is it a toss up or is one better than the other. If you had a 98 and 3500 to spend, who ya got FRPP or Allen?
If i was spending alot of money i would buy the Allen kit since its intercooled and you can run more boost then me. I was seriously looking at the Allen kit until my FRPP kit fell in my lap for $2300 new with install kit so i jumped on it. The Allen kit at 9psi will run much cooler then mine and you can even go to 12psi with that kit. Also its a smaller blower eaton m-90s vs eaton m-112. The m-90s is ported and set up to rev higher then stock.

I am sure you were trying to be funny....instead you came across like a jerk.

You sound like one of the guys who gets cams cause they sound good.

My plans for the car does not include the need for 30lbs of boost, sooooo a roots style blower, for me, is a viable alternative depanding on cost.

Thanks guy,

right now I am getting my head together about what I want to do to the car, so I am really not ready for a blower yet. I want to decide on heads first ( am leaning to SVO), then what type of s/c.
