Default Mach 1 vs. 05 GT

Well I am really thinking about trading in the mustang for a new one. Here is my dilemma, I love new edge cars. I like them allot more than the new body style. However I feel like I am making a lateral move to the Mach. I drove one today and it didn’t feel any faster than my bolt on GT. I guess what I need to know is witch engine is going to take to mods better, 3v or 4v? Will my programmer and x pipe work on the mach 1? If so what kind of power could I expect to see at the wheels with those two mods alone? It will be awhile before I can add more. Any other suggestions will be great.

Later.

mach 1 with no problem, if not, then keep the GT, i dont like the s197s, also, unless your a freak an average s197 runs high 13s, and 4V > 3V

I've been debating the same thing. I guess I have questions about the 05 motor. How many valves? Does it have forged interals?

a mach 1 is going to be alot more rarer than all of the s197s out there, plus 4v>3v, and you can get alot of power out of those cars too

Wish I had that problem because that would mean I would have a Mach 1 soon! Depends on the car though. I saw an '04 for sale in late Augusst, 1500 miles at $22K. Awesome with a Competetition Orange paint job. Mark

Which programmer and X-pipe and will the Mach be stick or auto? All you have to do is check a vendor or 2 for the answer. Mark

u couldnt feel the difference between the mach 1 and ur bolt on gt ??...wut bolt ons do u have?? the 4v of the mach 1 wil respond better to mods than the 3v...i would say just keep ur gt and be happy with what u have..and if u can afford a new car..get the mach1.
