I've been running a NX 150 shot for about three years now with a very good tune. On an all stock longblock I've ran 11.55@118mph. Would I recommend anyone to do the same?.....no, unless you can afford to replace an engine. I have been very lucky it seems...85,000 miles and still as strong as ever with zero oil comsumption

Are you sure it's not just your exhaust releaving the back pressure? a lot of exhausts make a "poop-poop-poop" noise after releasing the throttle.

i just got a 100-dry shot and i hear a deep pitched popping each time i shift up. kinda like a backfire or something. i don't think i'm damaging anything cuz the car drives normal after those runs. the deep noise from under the hood goes "poop-poop-poop" and i take off in each gear.
i got the SCT computer chip for 93octane and 100 shot, but i kept my plugs because they are pretty good already. they are the motorcraft platinum ones.
what do you think? am i safe?

that could be it but the noise is happening as I'm stepping on the throttle. i guess it could happen as i'm accelerating as well as when i'm coming off the throttle.
we'll just have to see...if i blow out my motor, i'm screwed. i have enough money to either buy a beater car to get me to work, or to get a new engine, but not both. crap.

Running nitrous is just like any other serious power adder. It's all in the tune. With a bad tune, a 50 shot can ruin your engine. But with the right tune and equipment a 350 shot can be just as safe as NA.
I had a freind with too much time on his hands and he put a 500 shot into the throttle body of his 5.0. It ran like crazy, It was fast as hell. 6 runs later, just as he launched the manifold went boom, or more like BBOOOOMMM!!!!!!!! I laughed, he cried, we all laughed at him some more.
