Default Detail before winter

Does it make sense to have my stang detailed inside and out before winter hits to protect it for the snow and ice?

well a good waxing makes sence to protect it a little. but it would make more sence to detail it after the winter. so you can get all the **** oout of the paint with claybar and stuff.

I'm just gonna be washing my outside, maybe wax the hood (but not likely) and cleaning out/putting some scent into the interior

since i put mine into a bag for the whole winter, and dont see it once, im not too worried about 'protecting' the paint that much, it's been fine the last 2 winters, this one should be no exception

thats what i did, i washed and waxed it this last weekend, course it will most likey stay garaged for the winter, it dosent hurt it to wax it good if your going to take it out on the road during the winter, the snow/ice won't bother it,, but if you live in a state that uses any kind of road salt.. especially any liquified cholride salt, clean, clean, clean, and i mean clean,,LOL specailly the underside, man that stuff they use on the hwyways these days, are highly corrosive, so don't let that stuff stay on your car a long time,, also, graphite or some type of lithuim grease on working locks and such are a good bet too, that liquid road salt gets everywhere,

Most customers have me put a sealant on right before winter. A sealant is a lot more durable than a wax. I also like to top the sealant with a carnuaba wax to give it more protection and a deeper shine. I carry Poorboys EX-P pure sealant and EX sealant with carnuaba. Both work excellent.

I wash vehicles all year long sometimes even in the cold. I use this stuff called Optimum No Rinse. I just fill up a bucket of warm water and a couple of capfuls of the solution. Use another bucket of water as rinse water. You just dip a microfiber in the bucket with solution and do one panel on the car at a time and use another microfiber to dry that section. This stuff is awesome! Saves me so much time in the summer months too. It is really popular on the details forums and with professional detailers. The No Rinse also leaves the paint really slick feeling. If you use it right it won't scratch or leave any marring. I currently have a sale going on with all of my Optimum products.
