Default Replacing PCV Valve

I just bought a new PVC valve to replace my old one and I plan to do it myself. For those who have done this before, how hard is it? Is there any major difficulties? Is it hard to put in the new one or to take out the old one? Any special tools needed? Thanks in advance.

On my 2002 Mustang GT, the replacement pcv valve did not have the 90 degree elbow on it that was on the original. I removed the elbow from the original, and then pressed it on the new one. I soaked the elbow in very hot water to soften it before I pressed it on. Hope this helps.

Pull the old one out and put the new one in. It will take more time to read this then it will to replace it.

Why are you replacing yours? Is it bad or do you just want to do it for the fun of it. Since you don't know how to get the old one out I doubt you checked it. Pull it out and shake it, if you hear it rattle then its still good.
