The SS/WS6 is faster than normal LS1's on the track. Dyno sheets may show that they have the same horsies, but the ram air doesn't get its full air potential on a dyno, and the the ram air can push a little over 3psi into the intake manifold. Also, half the battle at the track is getting the power to the wheels, and the SS/WS6 packages are mainly suspension packages. I have no chance to win if my friend has a decent run.

I dunno about the suspension stuff, but there no way, no how, that you get even 1 PSI at 150 MPH because of the ram air.

It might help reduce suction on the intake, but I guarentee you the car develops vaccum at any speed at WOT.

no way, put your hand over the intake of your car and rev it, it sucks in alot more air then you think. i have a hard time thinking it gets anything over atmospheric pressure.

The ram air doesn't work... not on the SS/WS6 or The Mach 1... it may suck air in, but it doesn't do anymore then a regular intake will.

With gears and drag radials you will most likely take him off the line with a better 60"... once your use to them. Don't be so negative, if you lose - you lose. with the 4.10's, most of the bolt ons and d/r you can cut a 1.8-1.9 60"... and with that you COULD beat him.

+1

Espcially if his best ever was a low 13. He may run a mid/high 13 typically.
