i wouldnt say coupes are faster...i beat coupes all the time, even when i was stock. they are only like 150-170 pounds heavier. but imo i use to have a coupe now i have a vert and the vert is like 10 times funner to drive. I just love the attention, the breeze, and the way my exhaust sounds with the top down

OMG I can't belive this.... CONVERTIBLE BAR NONE - THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION!!!!

the coupe is not even half as pimp as the vert...no way no how

get a roll bar and tonneau cover omg soo sexy!...

tell you what drive the coupe - then drive the vert with the top down and tell me which one you buy

Id go for the vert. I used to have a vert, and even though it was a slow crappy car(not a stang), it was bright red and with the top down it got more attention than every other car at my old HS. Plus there is nothing like cruisin around with the top down. Its the most fun there is. Downside is if you go to the track a lot, there are more restrictions.

If you want to drag race and build the motor up I would say get the coupe. The body integrity, especially the windshield and cowl area is more solid. This has been much improved on the 05+ models BTW.

If you want to have a hell of a lot of fun driving a reasonably fast car that will attract attention, go for the vert.

I'm an old fart (46) and my vert attracts attention everywhere I go.
It's an absolute blast to drive.

depends if you think the extra maintenance cost is gonna be worth having the top down. I wouldn't worry about added discomfort from a vert, either way you are gonna buy a mustang and it won't be very comfy anyway. handling is gonna be average anyway, and if it's not gonna be a track car the extra weight won't be a big deal.

I would have say, I prefer the vert. I was lookin at a 98 Cobra vert after I got my coupe. The vert. is more fun in the summer and worth the extra hassle IMHO.
